        • German sailors scuttled their fleet in act of protest + defiance

      • Germany lost territory of economic importance: 20% of coal + 15% agricultural resources
        • Symbolic importance- West Prussia + Posen- given to Poland
          • Alsace-Lorraine to France
      • Rhineland - demilitarized zone: buffer between F+G
