- It is a diagram made up of 100 chemicals.
- Chemicals on the periodic table are called elements.
- Substances made up of 100 or so elements.
- Element = A substance made up of one type of atom.
- All individual particles are the same.
- Atom = simplest particles can be broken down into.
- Period table has vertical columns, all elements in the column react similarly.
- Columns are called groups. Group , is called alkali metals.
- Group 3 are called transition metals.
- Group 7 are called halogens.
- Group 0 are called noble gases and are the least reactive.
