      • Little support from workers
      • More support from peasant farmers and middle class and some conservatives that disliked liberal Germany
        • Showed the importance of helping agriculture and promoting this to gain power

      • Appointed by HItler
      • Responsible for propaganda
        • Spread the Nazi message
        • Appealing to peoples feelings
      • Through leaflets, films, radio etc
    • Ideologies
      • Lebensraum - the need for 'living space' for the German nation to expand.
      • Führer - there should be a single leader with complete power rather than a democracy
      • Social Darwinism - Aryan race was superior and Jews were 'subhuman'
      • Autarky - Germany should be economically self-sufficient.
      • Germany was in danger - from Communists and Jews, who had to be destroyed.
      • A strong Germany - the Treaty of Versailles should be abolished and all German-speaking people united in one country.
