- Does NOT mean that there are three Gods
- God the Father
- The creator of the universe
- Conveys a sense of safety and protection to Christians
- In the Bible Christians are taught to speak to the Father using 'Abba, Father'
- Similar to calling God daddy
- Shows a close, loving connection Christians may have with the creator
- 'I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earh'
- God the Son
- Placed in Mary by the Holy Spirit
- Free of all sin
- Not made by two humans
- Completely human and completely God
- Came to earth for three reasons
- Reveal himself
- Sacrifice himself on the cross
- Rise from the dead
- 'I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy spirit, born of the Virgin Mary'
- God the Holy Spirit
- With Christians as their constant guide and comforter
- Disciples knew the Holy Spirit was with them after Jesus died
- Helps Christians live the way God requires
- Referred to as Paraclete in the New Testament
- One who comes alongside someone else
- 'All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them'
