- conclusion
- evaluation
- example
- question: do energy drinks affect mood or behaviour?
- aim: investigate effectsof consuming energy drinks
- hypothesis: can exist in 2 forms. Directional hypothesis- 'energy drinks will make a person talkative'. Non directional hypothesis- 'energy drinks will affect the degree to which a person speaks'
- variables: factors in an experiment which can increase or decrease
- independent variable: researcher directly alters themselves
- dependent variable: depends on iv, it can be seen as results
- operationalisation: turning a concept into something measurable
- test: in this case a test could involve an experiment. using 2 conditions
- 1) people who consumed the energy drink and asses how talkative they become
- 2) participants consume water/ non energy drink and asses their talkative
- results: presented in many ways- bar charts, graphs, etc. focus on quantative data (numbers) qualitative data is about how participants felt physically when consuming data
- conclusion: finding now linked to the original hypothesis
- the technique
