      • Half of Peru's exports are from mining.
      • Jobs for locals = benefits economy.
    • Hydroelectric Power (HEP)
      • Steep slopes and narrow valleys can be easily dammed and flow is more rapid to generate electricity.
      • Melting snow increases water. But is seasonal (disadvantage).
