    • Secure Attachment
      • Not likely to cry if the caregiver leaves the room
      • Will show some distress if left with a stranger
      • May be reluctant to leave the caregivers side prematurely
      • They seek and are comfortable with social interactions
      • Harmonious and cooperative with caregiver interactions
      • The securely attached infant uses the caregiver as a secure base to explore thus functioning adequately
    • Insecure avoidant
      • Show little response to seperation
      • When picked up they show little or no tendancy to cling or be put down
      • Avoid social interaction and intimacy with others
