- self examination
- move penis, put testicle in between fingers
- feel for lumps or change in size
- go to the GP
- they then do the examination on you
- refer to hospital to see a specialist
- do a blood test to look for protein
- do an ultrasound
- uses sound waves to look for lumps or cysts
- if can't identify it from ultrasound, send for an MRI
- if cancerous then chop testicle off
- no biopsy in case the cancer spreads
- a fake testicle is then put on
- doesn't prevent erection or having children
- self examination
