    • self examination
      • move penis, put testicle in between fingers
      • feel for lumps or change in size
    • go to the GP
      • they then do the examination on you
    • refer to hospital to see a specialist
    • do a blood test to look for protein
    • do an ultrasound
      • uses sound waves to look for lumps or cysts
    • if can't identify it from ultrasound, send for an MRI
    • if cancerous then chop testicle off
      • no biopsy in case the cancer spreads
    • a fake testicle is then put on
    • doesn't prevent erection or having children
