  - therapeutic cloning can be used so the stem cell will have the same genetic information as a patient so there is a less likely chance o fit being rejected
- adult cells
  - found in bone marrow
    - only differentiates into certain types of cells such as red blood cells
  - can be transferred from a healthy person to replace faulty blood cells
- divide unto more undifferentiated cells and then turn into any type of cell depending on the instrucrtion given
for embryonic stem cells
- curing an already existing person is more important
- most used are unwanted so will be destroyed anyways
against the use of embryonic stem cells
- an embryo is a possible human life
  - religious arguments that only god should be able to take away a life
