    • embryonic
      • can differentiate into any type of cell
      • can create insulin producing cells for those with diabetes
      • can create nerve cells for those   paralyzed by spinal injuries
      • therapeutic cloning can be used so the stem cell will have the same genetic information as a patient so there is a less likely chance o fit being rejected
    • adult cells
      • found in bone marrow
        • only differentiates into certain types of cells such as red blood cells
      • can be transferred from a healthy person to replace faulty blood cells
    • divide unto more    undifferentiated cells and then turn into any type of cell depending on the instrucrtion given
  • for embryonic stem cells
    • curing an already existing person is more important
    • most used are unwanted so will be destroyed anyways
  • against the use of embryonic stem cells
    • an embryo is a possible human life
      • religious arguments that only god should be able to take away a life
