  • States of matter
    • Name the 3 states of matter, and the physical changes that occur between them.
      • Gas, solid and liquid
      • Untitled
      • Physical changes between a liquid and a solid is freezing and melting. Between a liquid and a gas states are vaporisation, evaporation and condensation.
    • Describe the arrangements and movement of particles in the different states of matter.
      • Liquid- Particles are quite close together but still can move.
      • Solid- Particles are all touching and can't move
      • Gas- Particles are not close together and can move freely.
    • Explain why the energy of particles changes during changes of state.
      • When an object is heated the motion of the particles increases as the particles become more energetic.
