- Spirometer
- Spirometry Trace
- A graph showing inhalation and exhalation after time
- Tidal Volume
- The amount of ar you breather in during one breath normally - 8-10% of your lung capacity
- Inspiratory Reserve Volume
- The extra amount of air you can breathe in after you have filled in tidal inspiration(60% of total lung capacity)
- Expiratory Reserve Volume
- The extra amount of air you can breathe out after you have filled using tidal expiration (20% of lung capacity freed)
- Residual Volume
- The amount of air left in your lungs after you have exhaled as much as you can (20% never leaves)
- Inspiratory Capacity
- The amount of air someone can breathe in so tidal volume and inspiratory reserve volume
- Vital Capacity
- The amount of air someone can exhale after maximum inspiratory capacity. Tidal volume + inspiratory reserve volume + expiratory reserve volume
- Functional Residual Capacity
- The amount of gas left in the lugs after a normal tidal exhalation
- Total Lung Capacity
- The amount of gas in the lungs after you have breathed in as much as possible
- Spirometry Trace
