- Arguably, soldiers of WW1 were entrapped by military/gov in order to prolong war - which was recognised by Siegfried Sassoon

- Soldiers were being used by military/gov as means for which to purposely prolong war in hope of gaining more power. Purposes of which soldiers entered war had changed unknowingly to them which can be identified as 'trickery' which contributes to theme of entrapment.
