      • observation - people see other peoles behaviour, behaviour must grab our attention eg carried out by role model
      • imitation- process of copying someone elses behaviour. no need for imitator to be rienforced. who is imitated depends on wather they are a role model or not
      • vicarious rienforcement - indirect rienforcement - when the model is rienforced for their behaviour. the model being rienforced makes it more likely the observer will imitate that behaviour
        • instrinstic rienforcement - internal reward eg feeling happy, not needed to learn behaviour
        • extinstic rienforcement - external reward eg praise and money
      • stages of SLT
        • attention - the behaviour  must be noticed otherwise learning doesnt occur
        • retention - the behaviour attended to must be stored in the memory
        • reproduction - must be able to carry out the behaviour
        • motivation - incentive to carry out the behaviour, vicarious rienforcement, before the behaviour is done or after the behaviour is done
