    • Manipulation and other techniques are used in order to get  important details (bank or address)
    • It can be prevented in many ways
      • Do not click on links from unknown addresses
      • Do not give you details out
      • Have a difficult password that you can remember
      • Biometrics - you can't give someone your fingerprint
      • Web / Email Filters
    • Blagging is managing to obtain (something) by using persuasion or guile
    • Phishing is a form of Internet fraud where criminals aim to steal valuable information 
      • This includes user IDS, social security numbers and bank accounts
    • Pharming is a scamming practice in which malicious code is installed (on the PC or server) and redirects the user to fraudulent without their consent
    • Shoulder surfing is direct observation techniques, such as looking over someone's shoulder, to get information
    • Social engineering uses emotional hijacking, psychology, profiling and other handling techniques  
    • The personal information is usually used for fraudulent purposes
