- Short-Term Store/Memory (STS/STM)
- Can hold between 5 and 9 items or chunks
- Information can stay in the STM for up to 30 seconds
- Rehearsal
- If information is rehearsed it passes into the Long-Term Memory (LTM)
- If information is not rehearsed it is lost through displacement or decay
- Stores information in auditory (sound) form
- Retrieval - only immediately as items in consciousness
