  • Short-Term Store/Memory (STS/STM)
    • Can hold between 5 and 9 items or chunks
    • Information can stay in the STM for up to 30 seconds
    • Rehearsal
      • If information is rehearsed it passes into the Long-Term Memory (LTM)
      • If information is not rehearsed it is lost through displacement or decay
    • Stores information in auditory (sound) form
    • Retrieval - only immediately as items in consciousness
