    • Church Attendance Today:
      • Church membership: Fell by 17% from 1900's-2000's  Church baptisms: Fell by over 10% from 1991-2005
    • Religious beliefs today:
      • Opinion polls and attitude surveys show that:                  -People claim they hold Christian beliefs without belonging or going to church.             -Religious belief is declining along with church attendance and membership.
    • Example: Robin Gill et al saw a significant decline in the belief of traditional teachings when reviewing almost 100 national surveys.
    • Religious institutions today
      • Bruce agrees with Wilson about the decline in religion. "There is a stead and unremitting decline."
