      • 2 Scenes from rehearsal
        • When prisoners in cells
          • 4 LED's, 1 above each cell
          • 4 LED's, 1 above each cell, Colour = Red
          • General Wash - Main acting are lit
      • Research
        • Visiting Places
          • Churches
            • Quiet, brown, peaceful, bright colours on walls --> stain glass effect could use different colours
        • Watching Documentaries/Shows
          • Police Shows
            • Gives insight into English cells and prison life
              • lots of light, simple colours, nothing abstract and enclosed but a lot of space
          • Prison Break
            • Insight into more harsh conditions in American cells
              • Inside the prison blocks were dark and gloomy --> the cells were dark only use a small amount of light
    • Question 3 - Analyse
      • Improvement
        • Listening to the group for their ideas
          • the actors had their own ideas as well so I used my ideas and theirs
            • in the scene at the beginning one actor asked if we could have a red light above each cell, we tested to see if it worked and it did so we used it
        • Did quite a few lighting run-throughs to make sure cues were on point
          • around 3 technical run-throughs only read the lines between each cue, and changing or confirming so everyone knew
            • on the first tech run-through I came across a cue that was out of place and we used it to see if it worked then asked my group for their thoughts
    • Question 4 - Evaluate
      • Good Contribution
        • I was on point and listened and communicated with the group well, by listening to the actors about their ideas we all improved the lighting as i created an atmosphere that made the audience feel anger
          • by using the LED's they had focused the light above each cell and the red was to show the anger
        • At the end with Olivia's monologue she stood in one corner and she spoke to the audience using direct address by only lighting her in one corner meant the audience could focus on her and nothing else
