Pretty simplistic. I'd add a few more factors, specifically "leaving if place is too occupied by others", i.e good example would be ducks - if there are too many in small condensed area, some of those are going to leave due to high competition(works both ways i.e if there are absolutely no other animals, probably there are no food, so they're going to avoid that area sometimes. One of the folks at drake waterfowl https://gritroutdoors.com/drake/ taught me that).
