      • BOWLES & GINTIS "correspondence, principle and the hidden curriculum"
        • ROLE OF EDUCATION - produce an obdient, submissive workforce, mirroring the work place
        • CORRESPONDENCE PRINCIPLE "education is the mirror to work", operates through hidden curriculum
        • HIDDEN CURRICULUM - thibgs learnt but not taught e.g competition
        • MYTH OF MERITOCRACY, transmitted, makes it look like the rich earn their money

        • THE LADS - school boring & meaningless, flount the rules
        • anti school counter culture = shop floor culture of manual work
        • COUNTER CULTURE = poor job, resist attempt to indoctrinate them
