The Rock Cycle

?
View mindmap
  • Rocks are constantly being recycled
    • Igneous rocks are broken down by weathering and transported to the sea as sediment
      • On the sea bed the sediment is turned into sedimentary rock
        • When uplifted to form a new mountain range, the sedimentary rock is put under enormous pressure
          • Some of it is transformed into metamorphic rock
            • Untitled
    • Some might be completely melted to form magma and cools to form brand new igneous rock
