      • Recuded to a 6 carbon sugar called biophosphorlysed sugar
        • Reduced to phosphorlated6 carbon sugar
          • This is then reduced to 2 molecules of pyruvate
            • Hydrogen ions from the 6c sugar phosphate is used to reduce 2 molecules of NAD
              • Two molecules of ATP are produced
          • Uses 2 ATP  molecules

    • Does not require oxygen. Takes place in the cytoplasm of the mitachondria.
