  • Renewable Resources
    • Renewable energy resources are resources that won't run out.
      • They don't cause pollution as they don't burn fossil fuels which produce greenhouse gases.
      • They are easily replaced.
    • Biomass
      • Organic plant matter which is burned to produce heat that is used to create steam to turn turbines.
  • Tidal Energy
    • A tidal barrage can be built across an estuary to trap water as the tide goes out.
      • The trapped water then flows through turbines to make them spin.
        • The turbines turn generators to generate electricity.
          • Turbines can also be put under the sea where tidal currents flow.
  • These resources depend on the weather, so they aren't available all the time.
