    • This OPPOSES CAPITALISM
      • They believe CAPITALISM is a CAUSE of ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION
    • Relates to the SOCIAL STRUCTURE of SOCIETIES
    • To advance this approach, there must be RADICAL SOCIAL CHANGE
      • This CHANGE can be done through 3 ways:
        • ECOSOCIALISM
          • This CRITICISES CAPITALISM
            • PRIVATISATION & 'COMMODIFICATION' causes ANTI-ECOLOGICAL
              • This means that NATURE becomes a RESOURCE
                • SOCIALISM is the way to GAIN ecological sustainability
        • ECO-ANARCHISM
          • This CRITICISES HIERARCHY & AUTHORITY
            • DOMINATION over people leads to DOMINATION over NATURE
              • Thus, STATE of MIND will be ABOLISHED by ABOLISHING the STATE
        • ECO-FEMINISM
          • DOMINATION over WOMEN leads to DOMINATION over NATURE
            • Men are enemies of nature as they are RELIED UPON & IN CONTROL
              • Thus, RESPECT for NATURE requires a POST-PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY

    • PRIORITISES  the MAINTENANCE of NATURE
      • This requires a PARADIGM SHIFT
        • This means we should CHANGE our way of THINKING
          • HUMANS & NATURE are EQUAL (neither is important)
