    • Types of Inferential reasoning
      • Deduction: Uses evidence where as long as the premises are true then the conclusion will be true with certainty.
      • Induction: The collection of evidence to prove the hypothesis. Making lots of observations about the world & apply this to make theories about the world. We are more likely to use induction in science.
        • Verificationism - Argues against induction and says gathering information to prove a theory does not always work
      • Falsification - Just one single piece of contradictory evidence could disprove your theory - Karl Popper
    • Spatial resolution - How finely you can detect activity. Low spatial resolution means you do not know much about the position and activity of the brain whereas high spatial resolution has measurements at more individual locations.
    • Temporal resolution - How often we sample/measure across time. High temporal resolution tells us a lot about the brain activity
