              • Major producers in the Middle East and Russia to European markets.
              • Russian has to Europe (UK) - transferred over 5 major pipelines.
                • 3 of these pipelines pass through Ukraine, yet they annexed Crimea in 2014 (18/03), meaning Ukraine may have power over these pipelines. Russia could do one of 2 things:
                  • 1. Divert most their gas through the northern pipelines (Finland and Poland)
                  • 2. Annexe the whole of Ukraine.
                • UK should try to rely less on Russian gas to avoid potential issues which may arise from Ukraine and Russia's conflict.
