- 3 for a 10 mark essay 5/6 for a 20 mark essay
- An essential ingredient of exam success is self-discipline.
- You have made a claim now explain what it means
- Give 3 bits of detail in your explanation
- Now support your claim with evidence or argument
- Use two pieces of evidence at least and show how they back each other up.
- Come up with a criticism and response to the claim you have made
- Show that you are aware of issues with your claim and show how you would respond to them.
- Draw a conclusion and relate it back to your premise.
- Repeat your initial premise state an overview of it and link to your next point.
- You must have these to write an essay.
