      • Thermosettig Plastics: Phenol, Urea and Melmine Formaldehyde
      • The mould is heated and the plastic inserted. The mould is then forced together to compress the plastic
    • Injection Moulding
      • Diagram
      • Polythene, Polystyrene, Polypropylene and Nylon
      • Plastic granules are placed in the hopper and are heated as they are forced through a heated tube by a screw. The heated plastic is forced into a mould and cooled before being released.
    • Extrusion
      • Diagram
      • Polythene, PVC and Nylon
      • Plastic granules are put into the hopper and heated as they are forced through the tube by a screw. The heated plastic is the forced through a die and cooled before being cut to shape
    • Line Bending
      • Diagram
      • Thermoplastic Sheets
      • The place where the line is to be bent is heated across the heating element. Then it is bent to shape using a jig
    • Blow Moulding
      • Diagram
      • Polythene, PVC and Polypropylene
      • Liquid plastic is dropped between a mould. The mould is then closed and air forced in to force the plastic to the sided. The mould is then cooled and the item removed.
