    • good pilot studies should show any problems and these can then be addressed

  • blind procedures
    • single blind procedures are where the perso carrying out the research knows what aims and hypothesiss of research are but participants do not
    • double blind procedures are when both the person carrying out the research and participants are unaware
    • both measures are taken in order to reduce influence of expectations which can convert bias and unnatrual performance
