- Fertility reduces and ends in MENOPAUSE
- Increase in hormones gonadotropins - continue egg production - cause irritability, night sweats and hot flushes
- Reduction in sex hormones - shrinkage of sexual organs - loss of libido
- Osteoporosis - due to reduction of sex hormone production
- Lead to mood changes - depression and anxiety
- Self-esteem and image - low - see less desirable to men

- Loss of skin tone, muscle tone - greying/thin of hair
