I split the topic of photosynthesis up into different parts, as it is such a big topic, so this mindmap is just the basics of photosynthesis.

- Photosynthesis
- Green plants use light energy to convert raw materials from their surroundings into simple sugars.
- Carbon dioxide + water --> glucose + oxygen
- 6CO2 + 6H20 --> C6H1206 + 602
- Requirements for photosynthesis
- Carbon dioxide
- Diffuses into the leaves from the air.
- Light
- Provides energy for the process.
- Water
- Absorbed by the plant's roots from the soil.
- Chlorophyll
- A green pigment that absorbs the energy from light.
- Carbon dioxide
- Leaves of plants make glucose from carbon dioxide & water using light energy from the Sun.
- Carbon dioxide + water --> glucose + oxygen
- 6CO2 + 6H20 --> C6H1206 + 602
- Light energy is captured by chlorophyll in the leaves & converted to chemical energy in the glucose.
- Oxygen is produced as a waste product.
- Carbon dioxide + water --> glucose + oxygen
- Carbon dioxide & water are raw materials for photosynthesis.
