      • Must have correct PPE and wear PPE provided

      • Must have access to first aid facilities
    • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH)1999
      • Practice must identify risks
      • If more than 5 people employed, risk assessments must be written down
      • Medicines can be classed at LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH risk
        • Low and medium risk examples:
          • Antibiotics, vaccines, inj & inhalant anaesthesia, steriods, disinfectants
        • High risk examples:
          • Oil based vaccines, CYTOTOXIC drugs, glutaraldehyde disinfectants, hormones
      • A hazard is anything that may cause harm
