  • Particle Theory
    • Explain the role of electric & magnetic fields in particle detectors.
    • Recall & use the fact that charge, energy and momentum are always conserved in interactions between particles & hence interpret records of particle tracks.
    • Recall that in the standard quark- lepton model each particle has a corresponding anti-particle, that baryons are made of 3 quarks and mesons (e.g. pions) from a quark and an anti-quark, and that the symmetry of the model predicted the top & bottom quark.
    • Write & interpret equations using standard symbols (       )
