    • Velocity is speed in a given direction.
    • Acceleration is change of velocity per second.
      • The unit of acceleration is the meter per second squared (m/s2).
    • Acceleration (m/s2) = change in velocity (m/s(see red bubble)) / time taken (s)
    • Deceleration is the change of velocity per second when an object slows down.
    • initial velocity = u                       final velocity = v                       time = t      acceleration = v-u/t
