- Osmosis
- What Is osmosis?
- When water moves from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration through semi permeable membrane and this occurs in plants and animals.
- Differences in the concentration solutions inside and outside a cell causes water to move into or out the cell by osmosis.
- Types of solutions in osmosis:
- Isotonic
- When the concentrations of solutes in the solution and outside the cell are the same as the internal concentration.
- Hypertonic
- When the concentrations of the solutes in the solution of something outside the cell is higher than the internal concentration of the cell.
