- A network for personal devices, which does not need the internet.
- Local area network (LAN)
- A network of computers within the same building - not necessarily connected to the internet.
- Wide area network (WAN)
- Conncted LANs. It requires broadband cables, and can connect to organisation in different geographical places.
- Virtual private network (VPN)
- Hosted in a secure network. Often used by companies and schools.
