    • Central Nervous System (CNS)
      • Made up of brain and spinal cord

      • Peripheral Nervous System (PNS)
        • Transmits messages via neurons to and from nervous system
        • Divided into Automatic Nervous System (ANS) and Somatic Nervous System (SNS)
          • ANS: governs vital functions in body: breathing, heart rate, digestion, sexual arousal & stress responses
          • SNS: controls muscle movement and receives information from sensory receptors
