    • What is it?
      • View that nature has order working to achieve an end/purpose determined by a supernatural power.
        • All human, as part of nature, also have an ordered nature so there fore must have purpose.
          • Natural law is about humans acting in an ordered way that consistently moves towards their purpose or end.
            • As part of nature, humans seen as reflecting this ordered, reasoned life.
    • Hierarchy of Law
      • 1. Eternal Law - God's unknowable principles for governing the universe.
      • 2. Divine Law - God's law found in bible teachings.
      • 3. Natural Law - "divine spark" rooted into human essence. Being human means that we are leaning towards love, peace and harmony as well as we are part of God.
      • 4. Human/Social Law- flexible rules that are used in common societies
    • 5 primary precepts?
      • - education  procreation  preservation harmony  worship God
        • Natural law is about humans acting in an ordered way that consistently moves towards their purpose or end.

    • Secondary precepts
      • Modern Issues that may go against primary precepts placed on the idea
        • Abortion against preservation of life and procreation.
        • Genetic Engineering embryos destroyed against preservation
    • Apparent Good
      • "pursue good and avoid evil"
      • Evangelical Virtues
        • Faith, Hope and Love
      • 4 Cardinal Virtues
        • Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude and Justice.
