- 'Just' by law: A law that applies to everyone, no matter where they are from.
- 'Natural justice': Independent and applies to everybody.
- "That which is natural is uncatchable and has the same power everywhere."
- Causes and conditions:
- Efficient = what produced it.
- Formal = what it is.
- Final = its purpose.
- Material = what it consists of.
- Four - Fold Division of Law:
- Natural Law: certain moral values, rights, etc. are inherent in human nature.
- "good is to be done and persued and evil is to be avoided." - AQUINUS
- Divine Law: superior to man-made laws, based on an understanding that its source is above human knowledge.
- Eternal Law: In which God in the creation of man infused into him for his direction and preservation.
- Human Law: defined by morality and not by an authority figure.
- Natural Law: certain moral values, rights, etc. are inherent in human nature.
- Primary Precepts: (humans)
- Preservation of Life
- Worship God.
- Education.
- Live in an Ordered Society.
- Reproduction.
- Secondary Precepts:
- No Abortions / Contraception etc.
- No Masturbation.
- No **********.
- No Homosexual Sex
- No Adultery.
- Polygamy.
- No Sex Outside Marriage.
- Apparent Good: Appears good, but isn't
- Real Good: Good according to the natural law.
- 4 Cardinal Virtues:
- Prudence
- Fortitude (courage)
- Justice
- Temerance
- 3 Theological Virtues:
- Love
- Hope
- Faith
