    • Reliability
      • Due to standardised nature it is reliable as it can be easily repeated

        • Minority and EAL student more likely to suffer material deprivation
    • Practial
      • Cheap and easy
      • Must be engaging
      • does not need a trained researcher
      • Gatekeepers may prevent access
    • generalisable?
      • Possible due to large samples that can be accessed
