    • Rural push-factors
      • Poverty is aggravated by population growth as well as land reforms (unable to prove they own land)
      • farmers must move to make room for TNC's.
      • Resource scarcity in rural areas (increasing population) (the DARFUR REGION, SUDAN) triggers conflict and migration.
      • Agricultural modernisation reduces the need for rural labour (CORGILL).
    • Mumbai, Los Angeles, Kolkata.
