        • Has serious long term effects on the environment
      • Solutions = make use of renewable sources. Recycle. Walk.

      • Solution =Less packaging -Government action- Renewable sources-Fairtrade + local products
    • Global Warming
      • =the increase of temperature in the earths atmosphere
      • Causes - car emissions/air travel/fossil fuels/deforestation
      • Consequences- melting ice caps/droughts/floods
    • Religious Teachings about the environment
      • Christians
        • Gods stewards
          • Have a responsibility to God to look after his earth
        • The world is a gift form God so we should take care of it and leave it the way it was when he gave it to us
        • Judged on their behaviour as stewards
        • Reduce pollution and preserve resources
        • Stewardship= looking after something so that it can be passed onto the next eneration
      • Muslims
        • They are God's Khalifah
        • Quran = balance in the environment. Disrespecting the earth upsets this balance.
          • Tawhid = unity in creation
        • Judgement Day = will be judged also on how they treat the environmnet
