- Religion is the produce of alienation.
  - Workers are alienated because they do not own what they produce!
    - Robotic.
- In modern capitalist society, the capitalist class who own the means of production exploit the working class.
- Religion serves the needs of the upper class.
- Revolution: This would bring in to being a classless society in which there would be no exploitation.
  - Russia
As Marx puts it Religion:
- "is the opium of the people. It is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, the soul of soulless conditions, the spirit of a spiritless situation.
