- Martha was busying making preparations to welcome Jesus in to the house as a guest.
- She was not happy to see her sister not helping and said to the Lord "Tell her to help me!"
- "Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed, or indeed one."
- By 'one' Jesus was probably referring to Himself as the only thing she needed.
