- Macbeth
- The eponymous character is made out to be the hero of our story but by the end he is become the villain
- From “noble Macbeth...He deserves that name” to him being called a “tyrant”
- Lady Macbeth
- She’s a strong atypical medieval woman who controls the room she’s in and the people there are dominated by her always but at her end she is alone and vulnerable
- “Unisex me here” shows how she doesn’t want to be a woman and then she becomes small and feminine “little hands”

- These inhuman beings are the symbol for all of the supernatural and evil
- They’ve been used to scare the audience with their chanting of “double, double, toil and trouble”

- He is the antithesis of Macbeth, he has a strong moral compass and is the first one to rebel against his enemy
- “Tyrant show thy face” he is warning Macbeth and insulting him while subtly implying he’s a coward
