- The Secretariat- did all the administrative tasks for the League
- The Commissions
- The Refugees Commission - aimed to return refugees and prisoners of war to their homes
- The Mandates Commission - controlled Germany's former colonies
- The Slavery Commision - worked to abolish slavery
- The Health Commitee - attempted to deal with disease and to educate people about health and sanitation
- The Permanent Court of International Justice - Based at the The Hague, was made up of judges from member countries. The court could SETTLE BORDER DISPUTES. Also gave legal advice to the League.
- The Council- met 5 times a year. it had permanent members: Britain, France, Italy and Japan. Had any number of temporary members. PERMANENT MEMBERS HAD VETO POWER(*THEY COULD GO AGAINST AN ACT EVEN IF ALL OTHER MEMBERS AGREED*)
- Council's Powers: Moral Condemnation (they could decide who the 'aggressor' nation was) Economic Sanctions (League could impose a trade embargo on a country // only applied to League members countries could still trade with those outside the League)
- The Assembly - Was the League's Parliament. Assembly met once a year. ALL DECISIONS HAD TO BE UNANIMOUS
- The International Labour Organisation (ILO) - brought together representatives from different trades to see what could be improved - aimed to improve working conditions

- Cooperation - countries should benefit from free trade and work together for peace and justice. International law should settle disputes
- Improve Lives -Try to improve working and living conditions, tried to stop spread of diseases.
- Enforce the Treaty of Versailles- League held responsiblilty for monitoring and implementing the terms of the Treaty.
- Discourage Aggression - LofN encouraged nations to discuss problems. Collective Security
- Disarmament- Nations would work towards destroying their own weapons resulting in world peace.
