      • Size, gender. muscle, diet and exercise affect the rate
    • Unbalanced Diet
      • Eating too much
        • Excess carbohydrates and fats
        • Caused by bad diet, overeating and lack of exercise
        • Causes arthritis, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and high cholesterol
      • Eating too little
        • Causes slow growth, fatigue, poor resistance to infection, irregular periods and scurvy
    • Fighting Disease
      • Bacteria are living cells
        • 1/100th the size of your body cells
        • Damage your cells and produce toxins
      • Viruses are not cells
        • 1/100th the size of a bacterium
        • Replicate themselves by invading cells
        • The cell damage is what makes you feel ill
