  • KAPP PUTSCH - MARCH 1920 EXTREME RIGHT WING
    • WOLFGANG KAPP - LEADER - right wing journalist who felt humiliated by the TOV a and thought the terms on the arm were too harsh
    • TRIGGER - March 1920 Ebert tried to disband the Freikorps to please the Allies
    • Freikorps units led by Kapp, marches into Berlin and declared a new national government
      • NOT STOPPED BY ARMY, EBERT AND HIS GOVERNMENT FLED TO DRESDEN
    • Ebert called for a GENERAL STRIKE -  all transport links halted so putsch participants couldn't communicate
      • SUCCESSFUL - Putsch collapsed within days
    • Those who participated were never punished
    • Showed that the government didn't have the support of the army
