      • Immamah-Shias generally believe in 12 imams who are seen as historically spiritual figures whose main function was to guide Muslims through different epochs.
      • Ali- Sunnis believe Ali was a righteous companion and the fourth leader of the Muslim world after Muhammad's death. However, Shia believe that Ali should have been the first leader/caliph/imam after Muhammad's death because he was the closest blood relation to the Prophet. They highly revere him.
      • Hadith- Shias reject most hadith compiled by Sunni scholars as fallacious and contradictory.
      • Prayer- Sunnis pray 5 times a day. Shias combine some of the 5, allowing them to pray only 3 times a day.
