  • Interference of Waves
    • When two waves meet at a point they cause a disturbance
      • Waves can meet in the same direction and reinforce each other
        • Constructive interference
      • Waves can meet in opposite directions and cancel each other out
        • Destructive interference
      • The total amplitude of the waves is the sum of displacements
    • The pattern of loud and quiet is called an interference pattern
      • At points, sound waves will be in phase (constructive interference)
      • At points, the sound waves will be exactly out of phase (destructive interference)
    • To get a stable interference pattern, you need coherent wave sources
      • Sources
        • Waves at the same frequency and wavelength
        • The waves are in phase
        • Waves have the same amplitude
  • Waves can meet in the same direction and reinforce each other
    • Constructive interference

Especially good for OCR Science. This is a nice and simple mindmap. You may decide to print it out and colour it in. It will save you some time mindmaps show how different sections are related and therefore should help you remember things more easily.
