        • Faith strengthened and power of HS renewed.

        • Life of Christ received, enables believer to continue growing in God's love.
      • 4. Marriage
        • Couple accept that their love for each other is the love of God, active in their lives.
      • 5. Ordination
        • Priest commits himself to God and to the Church. Given power to consecrate at mass, to preach and forgive sins.
      • 6.Reconciliation
        • Believer rejects those areas of life that damage/d the relationship with God, and is then restored.
      • 7. Sacrament of the sick
        • Sick are made aware of strength and love Christ is with them in time of need.
      • Why are they important?
        • It is "an outward sign of inward grace, ordained by God, by which grace is given to the soul"
          • Grace is given to the believer.
            • Grace is the life of God freely given, which increases in the believer every time a sacrament is received.
            • They are all seen as a meeting point with God.
              • An opportunity to welcome Christ into their lives as important moments.
      • How are they not important?
        • Do not make us better people as we can still sin because God gave us Free will.
        • Do not have much effect on us.
        • Cannot get married twice by the Church if other partner is still alive.

        • Jesus tells his followers that they must care for people in need.
        • Jesus identifies himself as one of those people.
        • Says that anyone who claims they are following him but gnore the needs of other people will be damned.

        • We need to be good to those in need as we must love eachother as Jesus told us to: "love thy neighbour as thyself"
          • We need to be there for those who need help, from those who can provide.
            • We can be more selfless to those in need. This can be giving clothes, money, food and other necessities.
              • In this way we are spreading Jesus' teachings by providing help to Jesus' followers and God's children.
